Saturday August 17th 2019 – Make a date!
Firstly, please put the date in your diary – Saturday 17th August.
Plans are marching on for this year’s Show and we are planning some new attractions
Our local group of Morris Dancers will be strutting their stuff with bells and whistles (not sure about the whistles but I’m sure there will be hankies held aloft and much clattering of sticks and the like) so please come and support this newly formed group.
And – we also hope to have a demo of Dog Agility followed by a Dog Agility have-a-go. No need for any expertise – the aim is for it to be good fun along with some real entertainment for dogs, handlers and lookers on!
Plant Stall: Good news! We have a new volunteer who has bravely stepped up to the mark and offered (or rather, strongly persuaded!) to run the stall this year. This is such a relief since it’s a very important part of the Show – BUT it does mean we will need lots of contributions to the stall. So if you’re sowing, please sow some extra seeds. Plus take some extra cuttings and look out anything garden related. Plus – it would be really helpful if a few more volunteers could offer to help man the plant stall so that our new helpers can have a bit of a break. Any queries or offers of items, do please get in touch with me: email@example.com or call me on 01398 371473.
Lastly, if anyone would like to join our merry band of helpers, we are always grateful for new volunteers. Whether it’s to run a stall, help with set up/take down etc, there are always a lot of tasks to be done, so do please get in touch.
All we need to do now is to start praying for good weather in August! And a reminder to committee members that our next meeting in the Boundy Room is on Tuesday 7th May at 7.30pm
