From 1st February 2021 there is an earlier start for refuse and recycling collections. Before 6am all household kerbside collections, recycling, rubbish and garden waste should be put out. This will probably mean the night before for most of us, so be sure to secure bins and their contents against animals and bad weather. This change was introduced to enhance safety for everyone and maintain services despite the disruptions to kerbside collections caused by Covid-19.
Changes to collections over bank holidays usually mean that collections are one day later than usual.
So, if your collection is usually on a Tuesday it will be on a Wednesday, if on a Wednesday it will e on a Thursday and so on until Friday’s collection takes place on the Saturday.
Recycling centres are open for business using their summer timetable. Find out more here.
