As we move towards the summer, visitor numbers are increasing in the area.   Crime reduction patrols will increase around the “beauty spots” and parking areas.   When parking your vehicle, please remember not leave valuables on view as a thief will take seconds to smash a window and help themselves – enough to ruin anyone’s day!

The usual patrols of Wimbleball Lake will also take place to ensure that the majority of visitors and local community are not affected by the anti-social behaviour of the thoughtless few.

Although we live in a low crime area, the spring can bring an increase in thefts from sheds, garages and gardens.  Please consider securing, marking and photographing your property.  If you would like any crime reduction advice or have any questions please contact PCSO 8913 Michelle Haimes, Exmoor Neighbourhood Police team:  email: michelle.haimes@avonandsomersetpolice.uk
