Exmoor Highways Superstar!

Thanks to a pilot ‘Local Community Network’ project and funding from Somerset County Council Exmoor is benefitting from the hard work of a trained ‘Highways Warden’ working on roads and verges across Exmoor.
Parish Councils are providing lists of jobs that he can  do as a ‘one man’ band with skills and equipment.
Across Brompton Regis parish you may have seen him clearing the tops of drains, gullys, verges, junction sight lines and much more: some of the jobs have been waiting for some years and we are all benefiting from his hard work and skill. And for this year at least it is free.
To suggest jobs across the parish, contact the parish clerk at brpcclerk@gmail.com or by phone on 01984 641 706, with as much information as you can about the what, where and why the job needs doing.
The Highways Warden can’t repair the surface of the road or tackle major issues such as flooding, potholes or road degradation. For those you can use the online reporting system ( https://www.somerset.gov.uk/roads-and-transport/report-a-problem-on-the-road/ ) or contact the parish clerk, as above.
