Plans are already very much in progress for this year’s show and the show committee are hoping to provide a great day out for everyone this coming August.
However, whilst the traditional showground at Renfold Knap is everyone’s preferred location, this year we need to ask for help in finding a possible alternative in case the usual showground is not able to be used.
As many of you are aware the fields there are currently to be grazed by cattle this season. The current tenant is doing his absolute best to ensure the field we use is going to be in good order for the show but we all know and understand how weather and growing conditions on Exmoor mean that this might not be able to happen, even if the weather around and on the day is good.
So, we would like to ask everyone to consider whether you have available or know of a suitable alternative venue that we could use if required this year. We are happy to look at and discuss any suggestions you might have, we just need the collective local knowledge of the community to help and support us with this, as the current committee do not have that depth and breadth of local knowledge that many of you do.
Please, if you have any ideas, contact me as detailed below or speak to any member of the main show committee if that is easier for you. We want to do as much as we possibly can to be one step ahead of any plans the weather has for us this season and ensure the BRSG can run to the usual excellent standards expected.
