The Brompton Regis Show & Gymkhana is fast approaching.
Show schedules and entry forms are now available in the shop so don’t forget to pop in, pick up yours and decide which competitions you will enter this year – don’t be shy; there really is something for everyone.
You’ll also find a box where you can post your completed entry forms and, of course, we are well stocked with flour, eggs and other baking essentials for your cookery show entries and signature bakes!
As in previous years we will be the collection point for filled jars, donations for the bottle stall and raffle prizes so please do drop these off during opening hours. If you need some empty jars to fill, we have those too.
Show Day Revised Opening Hours
On Saturday 8 August we will be closing at midday as the shop is usually quiet from that time onwards on show day. However, we will be open on Saturday evening from 5 to 7 pm.
Let’s just hope the weather is amazing and we have another successful year.
The long summer evenings are perfect for barbecues, and the shop is always barbecue ready. We have fresh burgers and sausages, delivered from Kendle Farm each Friday, and we also stock burgers and sausages from John May, which may be cooked from frozen – their venison sauces are particularly popular. We have fresh salad ingredients delivered daily and in the chiller cabinet you’ll find delicious dips, salads and award-winning olives which are a perfect accompaniment for any barbecue.
New in this month: Have you tried Pizza Express Original House Dressing? It’s a tangy, creamy blend of rapeseed oil, white wine vinegar, and herbs – perfect for any salad!
